Lee and Lillian Noe,

Dear Elaine, Dixie and Wilson,
We are so sorry we were not able to attend your Father's funeral yesterday. Your parents were so supportive of me at Glenelg.
Dinners with all of you on PTA meeting nights (We lived in Towson at the time) are very fond memories for me, and we think of your Mom and Dad often. Your Dad was such a gentle man and a loyal friend.
I saw your Father only a couple of times in the past thirty years, but it was great to see him and be in his company.
We wish you three and all your family God's love and peace in this time of sorrow.
Love, and God bless,
Lee and Lillian Noel

We told Peggy McNanmara Homan about this, and she asked us to convey her love and condolences to all.

We were grieved to hear about the passing of Uncle Bob. I have memories of him to when he was first home from the navy....and he showed up in a vintage car and took me for a ride.....I must have been very very young.
I certainly remember the visits of Ellen and Bob to our home in Yonkers and the fun we all had even for a brief visit.
A memory that stays with me is when he told my Dad he could help get me an economical car in Baltimore and gave me a car to drive around looking at cars.. It was a stick and I had never driven one...but he said no problem you can do it. I got the car back without ding or dents and ended up with a turquoise Ford..which opened my Dads eyes...
I remember his efforts and encouragement to bring all the outlying members trying to keep the family together and was always updating us on news of the family. I most appreciate him driving to Alabama to attend the funeral of my daughter Jenifer...all by himself...He appeared, gave us comfort and was gone in a flash after the reception.
To all of his children please accept our sincere condolences. He will be missed. He was unique and caring.
