Obituary

Jesse P. Krauch, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2020 surrounded by his wife, family and close friends. Jesse was the loving husband of Katherine E. Krauch, with whom he shared his life for 30 years. They were married for 15 years.

Jesse was the cherished son of Susanne H. Krauch and the late Richard B.H. Krauch. His life will be celebrated by his wife Katherine, his mother Susanne, his brothers Russel Krauch, his wife Kimberly, Scott Krauch, his wife Monica, mother-in-law Frances P. Stengel, sister-in-law Cynthia Paris, her husband Scott, brother-in-law Andrew Stengel, his wife Michelle, his nieces and nephews, Adam Krauch and his wife Beth, Ashley Amsbaugh, Abigail Stengel, Nathan Stengel, and Grandniece Charlie Amsbaugh.

Born in Baltimore and raised in Woodlawn, MD, Jesse served in the US Army’s First Calvary Division, 8th Infantry Regiment and was a member of the National Guard. He was Property Manager of Historic Ellicott Properties, managing and maintaining both commercial and residential properties. He was integral in the re-building of Ellicott City after the fire of 2000, and the historic floods of 2016 and 2018.

Jesse was multitalented, expressing his artistic creativity through paintings, collectable Southwestern art, furniture, hand forged knives and inventions of immeasurable practicality.

A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Saturday January 25, 2020, 1:00 PM at Bethany Church, 3030 Bethany Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Friends and family will be received at 12:30. The celebration is open to the public and will be followed by a reception at the church.
