Like everyone else close to Docia I am still in shock and disbelief that I won’t ever get to hug her again, to share a laugh together, to have her huge and natural smile brighten my day and make me thank and praise God for bringing her into my life.

She is one of, if not the most, happy, sweet, generous, caring, loving, helpful, funny, considerate, creative, special and beautiful people I know.

She is probably the best, and one of the very small handful of people I could not only call a friend, but always call ON as a friend, and know that she would always be there for me to either lend an ear, shoulder and/or hand to help out in any way she could. And she always made it a pleasure to do and be the same for her. If you look up Big Heart in the dictionary I’m sure there will be a picture of Docia right there. 💖

I miss her sorely already and still can’t believe she’s been called home so soon, suddenly and unexpectedly. I guess there was a shortage of angels up in heaven. Truly she was an angel during her short time here on earth.

She not only inspired me to be a better person, she was also always available to help me to be one.

I love you Docia! And I can’t wait to see you again. Whether it’s here on earth, in all the smiling faces of the people whose heart, lives and souls you touched, or in your beautiful and innocent and forever young eyes when we meet again in heaven.

As always, you will surely continue to help me to be and become a better person by giving me one more reason to make sure I make it into heaven.

I’ll never forget you. I love you. Bye for now.

Your friend always and forever,

XOXOXO
J
